Admittedly, our share of women still has some room for improvement – but in terms of character and expertise, our team couldn’t be more diverse!
Whether wine expert, plant whisperer, aspiring historian or nutrition scientist: what unites us all is a deep passion for South Tyrol, outstanding cuisine, and the goal of bringing you closer to our homeland in the most authentic way possible.
Meet the faces behind Sissi Tours:

Already in his fourth season, career changer Andi guides you relaxed on e-bike tours through South Tyrol – especially on the Gourmet Bike Merano and the Gourmet Bike Passeier routes. Born in Scena, he’s a true all-round talent: as a gardener, he knows the local flora along the trails by name, in winter he supports young people as a school social worker, and on weekends he helps out in mountain gastronomy. Andi is a walking sports encyclopedia and, in his private life, is deeply passionate about mindfulness, yoga, and healthy nutrition. A true local with heart, depth, and plenty of energy – with him, every moment feels effortlessly relaxed.

As a true Algund original, Hermann accompanies you on the Gourmet Bike Tour “The Sleeping Giant” and is also a valuable support on our Gourmet Walks. His CV is genuinely impressive: former sales manager at the renowned wineries Kellerei St. Pauls and Alois Lageder Winery, certified bike and hiking guide, and traditionally active “ba dor Musi” (in the local brass band). But anyone expecting arrogance from such a profile is quickly disarmed by his humble, sincerely curious, and warm-hearted nature. Hermann is a wonderful companion, as there are hardly any topics he cannot speak about with real depth. A true connoisseur of life – and a real asset to every tour.

Our student Samuel is already starting his fourth season. With his academic focus on art history and history, and a deep love for his city, he is the perfect fit for our Gourmet Walk. His greatest motivation is working with people. And while he may still be building his in-depth culinary expertise, he more than makes up for it with his impressive general knowledge and his unmistakable, warm and engaging friendliness. A charming companion who enriches every tour with fascinating facts and a smile.

As a nutrition scientist, food technologist, and co-founder, Gerd is the driving force behind Sissi Tours. His past as a Rotalis tour guide has never quite let go of him, which is why he quickly turned the idea of e-bike tours in Merano into reality. His guiding principle: “To bring guests closer to a region and its people in an unfiltered way through its cuisine is the most powerful concept I can imagine – and exactly what I look for myself when I travel. What matters most to me is that guests truly connect with authentic local hosts.” These days, Gerd is less often in the saddle and more often the one pulling the strings behind the scenes. He’s your first point of contact by phone or email, maintains the wide network of partners, takes care of all organisational work, and always has an open ear – including for criticism. All the greater is his joy when he occasionally gets to step in and personally accompany a tour again. On the left in the picture: ice cream legend Toni Munaretto from the Sabine gelateria in Merano.
